POWER to the Pedalling Padfields: Part 3
In August 2020 David Padfield discussed with Keith Berry whether POWER PLEAS could help with funding for a Trike/Tandem to provide a further mobility experience for his son James. Here is the story of what happened next!
Wolves hit the target for Romain
With no “Rachael’s Day” collection taking place this season at Molineux due to behind-closed-doors fixtures, Wolves have kindly stepped up to make a donation to help fund a bespoke trike for two-year-old Romain Jackson.
The Fourth Rachael’s Day – Thank-you
Our Fourth Rachael’s Day Collection took place before the home match against Norwich City on Sunday 23 February and realised £2,078.35 on the day. This, together with the £7,500 total so far from Oliver’s Trike Appeal and other donations, brought in over £10,000 for the Charity.
The Fourth Rachael’s Day
Wolverhampton wheelchair charity POWER PLEAS are again combining with Tettenhall Rotary Club to mark their Fourth ‘Rachael’s Day’ with their annual Molineux collection, taking place before the Premier League fixture with Norwich City on Sunday 23 February at 2pm.
They Did It! Congratulations David and Martin!
A huge congratulations and a massive thank-you to Dave Padfield and his friend Martin for successfully completing their marathon 170 mile cycle ride to raise money for POWER PLEAS.
David and Martin’s Cookes to Cookes Challenge
Dave Padfield and his friend Martin are set to take on a gruelling 170 mile cycle ride to raise money for POWER PLEAS. The pair have accepted the challenge laid down by Graham Cooke to cycle from the Cookes store in Birmingham to the store in Christchurch. They will be setting off at 6:00 a.m. on 12 September and aim to reach Cookes Christchurch store before it closes at 5:30 p.m!
Oliver’s Trike Appeal – In Loving Memory of Oliver
We are very saddened to report the recent passing of five year old Oliver Tuckwell. Oliver suffered from a rare genetic condition which caused him significant mobility problems. PowerPleas were privileged to have been able to provide Oliver with a specially adapted tricycle which aided his mobility and development.
The Third Rachael’s Day
Season ticket holder Tina Lane went along to the Wolves Training Ground to meet some of her idols and to launch the Third Rachael’s Day collection for Wheelchairs and Trikes. Organised by Tettenhall Rotary Club and the Wolves Foundation, the collection will take place before the home match against Cardiff on Saturday 2nd March.
Raymond’s Barbers: a cut above for James
The owner of a barber’s shop in Bradmore has taken a snip off his weekly wages to help fund an extra special Christmas present for a boy suffering from a rare chromosome disorder. Matt Wilson, aged 25, from Raymond’s Barbers, decided to donate all his wages from last Friday (November 30th), to help Wolverhampton wheelchair charity POWER PLEAS with their campaign for a new mobility trike for young James Padfield.
